Prior to co-founding 2g, Russ was chief operating officer and director of account services for Root & Associates, Inc.

Russ has founded two successful marketing communications firms and has managed advertising, market research, and direct mail programs for financial, aviation and nonprofit organizations, as well as industrial, agricultural, plastics and specialty chemical manufacturers.

His campaigns have appeared in Latin America, Europe and Asia, as well as North America.

A student of both the art and the science of advertising, he is an experienced market researcher with a background in qualitative and quantitative studies, and a long-time computer enthusiast whose credentials include PC, Macintosh and network installations, as well as web site design.

Russ earned his MBA with concentrations in marketing and finance from Louisiana State University. His undergraduate education includes a Bachelor of Science in marketing and undergraduate studies in engineering. Russ has been designated a Certified Business Communicator by the Business Marketing Association and is a 35-year professional member of the American Marketing Association.
